Training sessions include
No filler hours and no waiting your turn. From the first walk-around to the last road test, every block is built to make you useful on a yard and safe on the road.
Truck Familiarization
Know the truck before you start it
You walk the rig first — lights, tyres, brakes, air lines, fluid levels, mirrors — then sit in the cab and learn what every switch, gauge and valve does. Nothing on your first day behind the wheel is new.
Shifting a 10-Speed Transmission
Find the gear by feel
Range, split and the rhythm of a 10-speed. You learn to listen to the engine instead of watching the speedo, keep the revs in the power band, and change gear so smoothly the load never feels it.
Forward and Backing Maneuvers
Steer the trailer, not just the truck
Straight-line and offset backing, alley docking and tight yard turns. You learn how a trailer answers the wheel, where the rear wheels actually track, and how to work your mirrors so backing stops being the scary part.
Coupling & Uncoupling the Trailer
The check every fleet looks for first
Landing-leg height, kingpin alignment, jaws locked, supply lines seated and the tug test that proves it. You do it on the flat, on a slope and when you're tired — until it's muscle memory and you'd never skip a check.
CDL Exam Preparation
Trained the way the test is marked
Practical work in the yard mapped to the Bahamian CDL exam — the inspection items, the maneuver course and the timing examiners use. You practice under test conditions before your booking.
The Full Scope of the Trucking Industry
The job, not just the driving
Load securement, yard moves, dock etiquette, defect reporting and handing a truck over clean. You leave able to run a day's work end to end — which is exactly what employers ask about.
Requirements
Two rules, and that's all we ask before you start. If you're not sure whether you qualify, call the yard and we'll tell you straight.
- 01Must have a driver's license
- 02Must complete the course within 3 months
Bring your license on day one, and plan your weeks so you finish inside the three months.
We prepare you for the Bahamian CDL exam
The Bahamian CDL exam, trained the way it's actually marked: the pre-trip items, the maneuver course and the timing an examiner uses.
A practice test is optional (for students who have already taken the course) — book one for $100 a session and run the whole thing under exam conditions before your real booking.
